This is one of these books
that we read again and again to our children. The story about a little
monkey who has lost his mum and his friend, a butterfly helps him to find her.
The rhythm of the words allows you to sign the text, and once you have read the
book twice your toddler will finish the sentences. This is a good thing; they will
learn new words effortless. "Hush little monkey, don't you cry, I'll help you find her; said the butterfly.
The book was written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated
by Axel Scheffler. Have a look in this website; these
books are magical for kids.
For me the best of the book is the end, when my daughter gives me a big hug, to show me how the little monkey finds his mum. Is there something better than this feeling? The answer for me is crystal clear.
