¿¿ Jugamos a aprender
los colores??
Colors are abstract and often difficult to explain. We often use comparisons
for making children to understand. "It is yellow like the sun, blue like the sky ..." With this
tiny little tray we
associate colors, and play with the
quantities and sizes
Specifically this little tray was part of a toy of numbers made f natural wood. We painted together every compartment, first with the primary colors (red, yellow & blue) and the rest mixing colors. I will include a post about this regard shortly. Painting the tray itself was very funny and as a result the assimilation of information much easy and simple.
Generally in all games, my procedure is first display the materials, starting the activity first without giving her any lesson, just telling what I'm doing, making mistakes and getting right. Then she takes the idea of how to play and starting to play showing me how she can do it. In short, I show her how I can do it, and then she feels that she is able to do the same, without any fear of being wrong because mummy makes mistakes and learn too.
